Prickly Pear

Pastels on Paper

This is a drawing made with pastels, one of my favorite mediums. I enjoyed just selecting an enlarged section of a cactus which shows the prickly pear and the spikes. I particularly like the soft effects created by this medium and the contrasts with blues and greens.
