NATIVE ARTS WORKSHOP


at Terrasante Community (near Three Points, Arizona)

Saturday, October 10th, 10 a.m to 4 p.m.


• Plant dyes and watercolors
• Yucca soap, shampoo, cordage and paintbrushes
• mesquite bean, prickly pear and other foods

Identify and gather these and other native Sonoran desert plants and prepare them in the traditional way.

Your guides: Danny August has taught native arts to hundreds of people since 1987. Rick Hubbs owns and operates Arizona Native Seeds, which distributes indigenous seeds throughout the American southwest.

What to bring: Appropriate clothing including sun hat, water containers, fabric to dye, & paper to paint on.

Cost: $20. per adult. Kids under12 free.
